Stakeholders Consultative Process for the Draft National Financial Inclusion Strategy

The Ministry of Finance has embarked on a process of developing the National Financial Inclusion Strategy with support from the World Bank under the Financial Inclusion Support Framework. A drafting committee comprising of financial sector regulatory bodies the Bank of Zambia, the Pensions and Insurance Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Competition and consumer Protection Commission, the Rural Finance Expansion Programme and the Ministry of Finance has been working over the last several months to develop the strategy. A draft now available on the link below and the MoF invites stakeholders to download and review the draft National Financial Inclusion Strategy and provide the necessary feedback.

Submissions should be made not later than 7th March 2017. All written comments should be sent to the Ministry of Finance-Economic Management Department or the respective regulators (pia@pia.org.zm) or send to the Registrar, Pensions and Insurance Authority, Stand No 4618, Lubwa Road, Rhodespark. P/Bag 30X Ridgeway Lusaka).

In the interim, the Ministry of Finance wishes to thank all stakeholders and partners that have already made preliminary submissions for consideration.
